About Will10

Will10 started this conversation
Hello!I am a partially disabled only parent of a disabled child with an incurable life-long illness. Recent elimination of services and assistance along with salary cuts and drastic cutbacks in paid hours in the former state of California have us facing immanent homelessness, bankruptcy, and the dissolution of our family. We have no other family. There are no other Gov. programs, and I have already contacted every charity and organization imaginable to no avail. We need assistance as soon as possible as we don't have much time left. Please help! THANK-YOU!

It stinks huh? I had a older cousin and her older senior hubby lose there house and I said you are welcome to stay here even though no room I offered..

I wish I had a house and I could offer a place to stay for someone.

The charities are out of resources , people aren't and can't donate money or other things. It is hard for them . I tried a senior center here for help with rent and got oh just taking names in case we get funding from the state that was last summer early...

Wish things were better for everyone...

in response to Starshine...   Thanx for your reply. Shared housing is not a viable option, and we don't have the money to move anyway. I called 211 monthes ago. They give you half a dozen or so other numbers to call, each of which can't/won't help and gives you three to five other numbers to call, each of which can't/won't help and gives you three to five other numbers etc. until half a month later you've made more than sixty calls- the last of which asks "have you thought of calling 211?" Unfortunately, the "charities" are the enemy of people who need assistance because people will not donate directly to people in crisis only to "established charities" which will not help.
